An Actor to keep your eye on..

Neil Hopkins

I have a hunch that Neil Hopkins will hit it big in Hollywood. Maybe I'm biased because he can do a dead-on (yet, over the top) Christopher Walken impression.

I first saw Neil when a guy named Phil Zlotyrinski sent me a tape of a short film he directed called "Walkentalk" Neil was the star of this short. Later, Phil directed "My Big Fat Independent Movie" and Neil has another spot as a Lanky (Christopher Walken-speak) Guy.

But, I was very impressed to find out that I had just seen him a couple nights ago in "Lost" He was in a flashback sequence as Liam, a British drugged out musician, Charlie's brother on the show. Not only can he do a great Walken impression, he did a very good British accent as well. I didn't recognize him, but his eyes looked familiar. Now I see he is cast in another TV show called "Big Love" (where Bill Paxton plays a guy with three wives)

According to Neil's bio on IMDB, he's only 28 years old, so he has lots of time to develop his talent. With only a few credits to his name, my instinct says he stands out from the rest and that he will go far. I secretly hope that Chris Walken's wife Georgianne sees him and casts him in "Entourage". Good Luck, Neil.

Walken Slideshow using Photostory

It is fun and very easy to use software, and free to download. If you're on Windows and like to compile pictures, you should check it out!

I did a very quick little slideshow tribute to Walken just as practice.

Oh, the song is by musical genius-scholar Warren Zanes and I did get permission to use the song from Warren himself. He says he's "honored" and a Walken fan.

It's about time!!

Finally, our sofa

It has been 7 months since we ordered our furniture. The sofa arrived back in September and it was configured wrong (with the chaise part on the wrong side) then, it arrived again in November and was STILL WRONG the very same way. We were pretty pissed. Finally, third time's a charm I guess. It's very comfy. :)

This experience has taught us not to be furniture snobs anymore. It will be the cheap franchised "get your furniture in a day" type places we will be gravitating towards in the future. It's just not worth the trouble.

Guess who called

Guess who called

... Chris Walken called on New Year's Day. Jonathan spoke with him because I had gone out for a mere 30 minutes (it figures- dammit!) Chris is filming a movie called "Man Of The Year" which stars Robin Williams. He'll be heading back up to Toronto, so I doubt he'll call back. It was nice of him to think of his fan club anyway. Oh, I just saw the preview for "Click" too. I don't think Chris' role is very big.

This photo is one of my favorite Walken talk show moments as he and Conan were comparing hair height. LOL.
